چکیده

The nonintrusive, realtime, and accurate measurement of the local temperature has applications in a variety scenarios. This need led to significant research develop novel nanophotonic sensors. In this paper, 3D-printed optofluidic chip is nano-engineered for local, contactless, precise optical microfluidic channels using lanthanide-doped upconversion nanoparticles. Temperature sensing nano-emitters are doped UV-curable matrix embedded into channel maskless photolithography. Photoluminescence NaYF4:Yb3+, Er3+ nanoparticles have two bands green spectrum which PL maximums at 521 nm 541 used sensing. Thus, enabling ratiometric when excited near-infrared light, desirable measurements biological biomedical settings. functionality sensor nonintrusive microalgae culture medium demonstrated.

Synthesis of NaYF4:Yb3+, Er3+ upconversion nanoparticles in normal microemulsions

An interface-controlled reaction in normal microemulsions (water/ethanol/sodium oleate/oleic acid/n-hexane) was designed to prepare NaYF4:Yb3+, Er3+ upconversion nanoparticles. The phase diagram of the system was first studied to obtain the appropriate oil-in-water microemulsions. Transmission electron microscopy and X-ray powder diffractometer measurements revealed that the as-prepared nanopar...

Tailoring Plasmonic Enhanced Upconversion in Single NaYF4:Yb3+/Er3+ Nanocrystals

By using silver nanoplatelets with a widely tunable localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), and their corresponding local field enhancement, here we show large manipulation of plasmonic enhanced upconversion in NaYF4:Yb(3+)/Er(3+) nanocrystals at the single particle level. In particular, we show that when the plasmonic resonance of silver nanolplatelets is tuned to 656 nm, matching the emis...

NaYF4:Yb3+/Er3+ nanoparticle-based upconversion luminescence resonance energy transfer sensor for mercury(II) quantification.

Upconversion luminescence is an anti-Stokes' emission process by converting long wavelength near-infrared (NIR, 980 nm) irradiation into shorter wavelength visible light emission, which demonstrates many advantages including no autofluorescence, low damage to samples, no photobleaching, and high sensitivity. Based on the Rhodamine B thiolactone (RBT) functionalized NaYF(4):15%Yb(3+),5%Er(3+) (U...

The Upconversion Luminescence of Er3+/Yb3+/Nd3+ Triply-Doped β-NaYF4 Nanocrystals under 808-nm Excitation

In this paper, Nd3+-Yb3+-Er3+-doped β-NaYF₄ nanocrystals with different Nd3+ concentrations are synthesized, and the luminescence properties of the upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) have been studied under 808-nm excitation for sensitive biological applications. The upconversion luminescence spectra of NaYF₄ nanoparticles with different dopants under 808-nm excitation proves that the Nd3+ ion ...

Temperature-dependent upconversion luminescence and dynamics of NaYF4:Yb3+/Er3+ nanocrystals: influence of particle size and crystalline phase.

Oleic acid-capped NaYF4:Yb(3+)/Er(3+) upconversion nanocrystals (UCNCs) with different sizes and crystalline phases were prepared, and their temperature-dependent upconversion luminescence (UCL) and dynamics were studied. It is interesting to observe that the temperature-dependent behavior of UCL for the β-phase (25 nm, 45 nm and bulk) and α-phase (<10 nm) UCNCs is quite different. The UCL inte...
